REMO COLASANTI

URBANREMO

Remo Colasanti (Urban Remo)

Early Years & Legacy Status

  • Remo Colasanti has been involved with cannabis cultivation for decades, starting long before legalization. He was one of the first persons in Canada to receive a medical grow licence (in 2001) to grow cannabis at home under medicinal parameters. growupconference.com+2growupconference.com+2

  • His early interest goes back further: as a hobbyist, Remo began experimenting with growing, breeding, and sharing his knowledge well before cannabis content was widely accepted online. All About Cannabis in Canada+2growupconference.com+2

  • Remo is frequently cited as a “legacy legend” in BC’s cannabis community. He straddles both worlds: underground/legacy cultivation and legal / medical / regulatory engagement. His credibility comes from both his long tenure and his openness — teaching, sharing, and helping others refine their craft. All About Cannabis in Canada+2internationalcannabisnetwork.com+2

Remo Nutrients, Brand & Entrepreneurship

  • In 2014, Remo (with his wife Sandra) founded Remo Nutrients, a line of plant nutrients / fertilizers / supplements (minerals, vitamins, extracts) designed for cannabis growers. It’s become highly recognized among home-growers, medical growers, and some licensed producers. growupconference.com+2internationalcannabisnetwork.com+2

  • The company emphasizes quality, results, and science-informed formulations, while also retaining that legacy / craft sensibility. Growers respect Remo Nutrients because it came from a grower’s perspective — someone who has experimented, made mistakes, refined his processes. growupconference.com+1

Education, Media & Influence

  • Remo is also a content creator & educator. His YouTube channel Urban Remo has been producing videos since ~2006, sharing tips, garden updates, showing his cultivation setups, strain phenotypes, and offering advice to other growers. app.livestorm.co+3growupconference.com+3All About Cannabis in Canada+3

  • He has a large international following. Fans appreciate not just the technical info, but his personality, his style, sense of humour, honesty about what works and what doesn’t. All About Cannabis in Canada+2growupconference.com+2

Key Achievements & Recognition

  • Remo has won 40-plus awards globally for his growing, phenotypes, and product development. growupconference.com+2app.livestorm.co+2

  • His brand, Remo Nutrients, has been recognized by Canadian Cannabis Awards etc., also winning “Top Nutrients Company” awards. internationalcannabisnetwork.com+1

  • He has also been active in the cannabis policy / patient-rights / medical cannabis space: participating in legal / constitutional challenges (e.g. relating to MMAR) and being one of the early medical growers. growupconference.com+2All About Cannabis in Canada+2

Philosophy, Style & Distinctiveness

  • Remo strongly believes in destigmatization: that cannabis cultivation, use, and discussion should be treated openly, responsibly, and with respect. His media content often addresses misconceptions, safe growing among patients, compliance, quality. All About Cannabis in Canada+1

  • He emphasizes hands-on growth experience: pheno-hunting, selecting top plants, maintaining quality, caring for plants, paying attention to small details rather than only scaling. mmjdaily.com+2All About Cannabis in Canada+2

Impact & Future

  • Remo Colasanti has become a bridge between the legacy cannabis world and the newly regulated cannabis industry in Canada. His brand, content, and credentials give him a voice both among long-time growers and newer market entrants.

  • By offering nutrients, educational content, and supporting communities, Remo is helping raise the bar for cannabis quality and grower knowledge, especially among those doing craft or smaller scale grows.

  • He continues to expand reach (both product lines and content), and is seen as a reference point in cultivating quality, reliability, and integrity in the industry.

KEVIN VARNER

ROYAL HARVEST CRAFT CANNABIS

Growing up on the east coast of Canada, I found myself in a lower-middle-class family where money was always tight. At just 12 years old, I took a leap into the unknown—I started growing cannabis to help support my family. Little did I know, this humble beginning would ignite a lifelong passion and carve a path spanning over 35 years in both the legacy and legal cannabis markets.

When legalization rolled around, I saw a chance to bring my experience into the regulated market. I took over a failed micro-cultivation facility, commuting six hours daily to a remote, poorly constructed site. The challenges were plenty—from inadequate infrastructure to environmental control issues—but I was determined to make it work.

Realizing the need for a better setup, I seized the opportunity to upgrade from a micro to a standard cultivation facility. I acquired a vacant site that met all the requirements for my growing brand, alleviating many of the burdens of my previous setup. This move marked a significant turning point, enabling me to produce premium craft cannabis that meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.

At Royal Harvest, we're all about sustainable cultivation practices and a deep respect for the plant. Our mission is to produce top-notch craft cannabis that not only meets high standards but also contributes positively to our community and the environment.

Looking ahead, I'm excited about collaborative projects that showcase innovation and quality within the industry. Partnering with esteemed industry members on breeding and infusion initiatives reflects our belief in the power of community and the importance of sharing knowledge to elevate the cannabis industry as a whole.

My journey is a testament to perseverance and an unwavering commitment to excellence. I invite you to join us at Royal Harvest as we continue to cultivate not just premium cannabis, but also a legacy of quality, integrity, and innovation.

JEFF AUBIN

SMOKER FARMS

Early Years & Legacy Status

  • Jeff Aubin has been cultivating cannabis since 1997, first in the legacy (black-market/medical) sector. smokerfarms.com+2the oz.+2

  • For over 25 years, he has honed his craft, developing strains, refining growing techniques, and building a reputation among “legacy growers” in BC. the oz.+2StratCann+2

  • His status as a “legacy legend” comes from both this long tenure and the respect among peers for both the quality of his product and his commitment to artisanal, small-batch cultivation. the oz.+2smokerfarms.com+2

Smoker Farms & the Legal Transition

  • Together with his partner Sheri Aubin, Jeff founded Smoker Farms, a small-batch craft cannabis micro-cultivator in Beaverdell, BC. smokerfarms.com+3PRWeb+3the oz.+3

  • After legalization in Canada, Jeff made the transition from legacy market to legal cultivation, obtaining a micro-cultivation licence from Health Canada in mid-2020. PRWeb+2StratCann+2

  • He invested heavily in regulatory compliance, facility upgrades, and modern cultivation methods (hydroponics/rock wool/flood tables, etc.). StratCann+2dealrcannabis.com+2

Master Kush Ultra & Other Cultivars

  • One of his signature strains is Master Kush Ultra, which he has been developing for approximately 15 years. This is a legacy strain that Jeff refined over time, well before legalization. smokerfarms.com+3the oz.+3StratCann+3

  • Master Kush Ultra is notable for high THC content (over 25-26% in some harvests), a rich terpene profile, and strong effects. the oz.+2smokerfarms.com+2

  • Another strain referenced is MK Ultra, which Jeff also spent years perfecting, and which has been part of Smoker Farms’ offerings. PRWeb+2thefreepress.ca+2

Philosophy, Style & Distinctiveness

  • Jeff is known for combining “legacy growing sensibilities” with modern cultivation technology. For example, whilst rooted in old-school care (hand trimming, ensuring top colas, preserving trichomes, etc.), he also employs precise systems like the Dosatron nutrient delivery, rock wool, hydroponics. the oz.+2dealrcannabis.com+2

  • Smoker Farms’ ethos is small-batch, craft-style cannabis that prioritizes flavor, potency, aroma, and overall quality over mass production or large scale. Jeff often speaks about bringing “love and care” back to cannabis, countering what he sees as “mass-produced” or “bone-dry” product in the legal market. thefreepress.ca+1

Impact & Future

  • Smoker Farms is viewed as one of the bridge growers: those deeply rooted in the legacy market who have made the leap into legality, bringing with them experience, heritage, and dedication. This gives them both credibility with connoisseurs and a unique market positioning. the oz.+1

  • Jeff has expressed that he holds back some of his best genetics for future release, aiming for quality over speed, and wanting the product to feel “art-worthy” when someone opens a tin. the oz.

  • Alongside Master Kush Ultra, “The Ultimate” is another strain associated with Smoker Farms, and has been part of their early legal market releases. the oz.+1

Summary

Jeff Aubin is very much a legacy legend in BC's cannabis world — someone who’s been growing for decades, developing and perfecting strains like Master Kush Ultra (and MK Ultra), then navigating the difficult shift into the legal micro-cultivation sphere with Smoker Farms. His reputation comes from quality, consistency, craftsmanship, and a love for growing that underpins everything he does.

MICHELLE COZZUOL

COUNT CANNA INC.

Background & Career Shift

Count Canna, R.A.D.I.O., & Joint Connections

Legacy Series™ & Legacy Legends™ — Etching Stories into History

  • The biggest goal of Michelle’s career is the creation of the Legacy Series™ and Legacy Legends™ — initiatives that recognize, honor, and preserve the pioneers of cannabis.

  • These projects are her passion: pointing out, marking, and etching into history the people whose work shaped cannabis long before legalization, ensuring their stories are told and never forgotten.

  • For Michelle, this work is about more than recognition — it’s about normalizing cannabis culture, breaking stigma, and driving forward with passion and authenticity so the industry grows with respect for its roots.

Philosophy, Leadership & Industry Role

  • Michelle emphasizes hands-on learning: she has gained experience in everything from cultivation (seed to trim), to processing pre-rolls, to retail operations and budtending.

  • Her leadership blends compliance and operational expertise with a deep commitment to cultural storytelling and advocacy.

  • She sees her role as both an innovator building systems and a steward of cannabis history, making sure the voices of pioneers remain alive in today’s regulated space.

Recognition & Vision

  • Michelle has been recognized as a pioneering force in BC cannabis, speaking at industry summits such as the 2024 BC Craft Cannabis Summit.

  • Her vision is two-fold: (1) reshape how cannabis operations and connections function through Count Canna and Joint Connections, and (2) build a cultural archive through the Legacy Series™ and Legacy Legends™, ensuring the heart of cannabis — its people, stories, and community — is never lost.
